I was not their photographer.  That’s the bad news.

The good news, however, is that Kristin + Josh were able to model for me last weekend at Pikto’s Wedding + Event Photography Workshop (led by me!).

These lovebirds donned their wedding duds and allowed me and a group of 13 students to photograph them.

I am quite pleased with the results!

Kristin + Josh :: Thank you for humoring me and my occasionally ridiculous instructions.  I hope these pictures make you smile.

As the wedding season comes to an end for most, things here at Tara McMullen Photography are still in full swing.  The autumn brought us so many incredible weddings, and I have four(!!!) weddings in December.

Yes, my brides get married in the winter.  Because they’re bad and they do what they want.

Oddly enough, two of these weddings are taking place in Calgary and Jamaica.  I will be heading out of the office until December 14th.  First to freeze, and then to sun my buns!  I will be answering emails as much as I can during this time, but I might take a little longer than normal.  I still really want to chat, so give me a few extra days to get back to you — I’ll buy you a hot chocolate if you do.  K?  K.

In the meantime, I will leave you with a frame from Daniela + Steve’s incredible Fermenting Cellar wedding on October 16.

This is pretty much the ultimate autumn bouquet.  I cannot wait to blog this wedding (and about 15 others, too!).

We started Kristy + Jonathan’s session at a downtown park, but ended up cruising around the beaches area for some fun and colourful shots.  We had a blast!

Tanya + Greg wanted an intimate ceremony with just a few friends and family members in attendance.  Beachers themselves, they decided to hold their ceremony at the gazebo at Kew Gardens Park.  A risky choice for October in Toronto, but the day was lovely, and the leaves were breath taking.

I love Tanya + her enthusiasm for life.  Doesn’t she just glow?

We hastily made our way to the Don Valley Brickworks after the ceremony to squeeze in a few portraits before it got too cold.  Tanya wore a vintage fur stole to keep her warm.  Her vintage-inspired look worked perfectly with her hair and make up by Ivy Lam.  Basically, she worked it!

Apres portraits, we arrived at our final destination :: Balzac’s Cafe in the Distillery District (also known as My Mothership.  I spend more time at Balzac’s than I should.  The staff know my order and start making it when I walk in the door.  Clearly I have a problem.)  I hadn’t shot at Balzac’s before, but it is a STUNNING venue for an intimate reception.

Tanya + Greg were piped in by two very awesome pipers.  What an entrance!

Oh, the romance.  Tanya + Greg, you two are top-knotch.  I wish you all the best — thank you for sharing your day with us!
