One of the best AND worst parts about weddings is the general unpredictability of the day.
There are so many variables, and weather is always the biggest one.
Rain is even more challenging when my beloved bride is getting ready in a dark house.
It has taken 5 years, but it finally happened ::
Raquel – my newest hero – put her dress on outside during an early-Fall mist.
It didn’t phase her for a second.
Her dog, Summer, thought it was the greatest idea ever. And so did I!
At the end of the day, this is what it’s about, isn’t it?
You’re not a slave to your dress, or your wedding, or the expectations of others.
This is YOUR day. Do it your way.
I’m sure that Raquel will never forget putting her dress on while tucked away in a cove of trees with her pup at her feet, and her toes in damp pine needles.
I’ll never forget it, either.
